I have been in relative seclusion for the last while. There are a number of people I long to see but just can't seem to have the inner unction to do this. Basically, I have been taking care of my 90-year-old mother which is an honour and also blesses the Lord simply because He loves her and wants her to know this before she passes. Also, I have been spending much time walking through woodland trails with Deb my wife and our two standard poodles. I want to get moving on things but it seems like the Lord is saying, "not yet."
We stand in the most crucial time in earth history. A virus greater than the covid is the fear, isolation and disconnect from all things in life that we just took for granted in the past. Where fear dominates society, paranoia and confusion is the result.
It has been said that the first casualty of war is TRUTH. It is like a war during the time of contending with this virus. It has also been said, that in the "fog of war" leaders make mistakes.
Although, at times I see myself lacking in some aspects of maturity, the Lord has me as a leader called to show His Love and direction to others. I take this seriously and realize I am accountable for how and where I lead others. It is, for this reason, I am set aside for this season. The world does not need to hear someone who is absolutely sincere but also sincerely wrong.
In my meditation and searching, I am reminded of how great God really is. His greatness is found in His creation. The stars in the galaxy, the beauty of the forest. This grandeur wanes in comparison to His Love for His greatest creation, you and I.
I have over the many years understood that God is not trying to get us ready for heaven but wants to bring heaven to us here and now where we need it.
Yes, in the midst of unprecedented worldwide confusion and suffering, in the almost continual negative reports and contradictory narratives there is peace and clarity of mind in His love.
There is incredible power working in those who love Him. Soon this inner working of His Spirit will be expressed outward into every aspect of society through HIs children who will love others more than themselves. This love will accomplish great wonders against cruel darkness and deliver and heal the brokenhearted and fearful. The world has yet to see the true Glory of God. This will happen when the believers live and walk in His presence before a world yearning for a greater reality and need of life-saving love and security.
HOLD ON TO HOPE. THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!
